Why Choose Aran Sweaters?

Aran Sweaters like the ones from Shamrock Gift are a well known design that is thought to come from Ireland. The origin of the  Aran Sweater is shrouded in mystery. It could have been as a result of the connection of Ireland to the ancient Celts. The designs are thought to be that of the Celtic knot. However the  real origins come from Guernsey where the knitters there showed the Women of Aran how to do it. The local sheep provided the perfect raw material.
